The question for my personal project is “How is fashion inspired by the city? For whom is fashion accessible? What makes New York City an epicenter of fashion?”

 

My hypothesis is that fashion is prominent in NYC due to how much of it is still created here, the fact that NYC is a media center, and the mass of different people who immigrate here.

 

These factors bring inexpensive labor and much global inspiration. I then created my own designs inspired by the city for my project.
